As of July 1, the price of consignments arriving to Bulgaria from non-EU countries, including the UK and China, is going up. The VAT exemption for imported consignments amounting to EUR 15 or less will be abolished as of July 1. A 20% VAT and an excise duty will be paid for consignments which cost more than EUR 150. The new regime is in place across the entire European Union and VAT will be collected by the online store during the purchase.
