Bulgaria reports 55 new cases of Covid-19 out of 12,565 tests performed

55 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 12,565 tests performed, indicate data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. 0.44% of the tests have returned positive result. No new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in 16 Bulgarian districts.

There are 8,000 active cases of Covid-19. 895 patients are being treated in hospital, 108 in intensive care units. Five people have died and 158 have recovered in the past 24 hours.

12,293 vaccines have been administered in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of inoculations against Covid-19 to 1,835,681. 841,794 people have been fully vaccinated. No Covid-19 vaccines have been disposed, announced this country’s caretaker Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov. Some batches of the AstraZeneca vaccine expire on August 31. These vaccines will be donated to neighboring countries.
