Weather forecast for Bulgaria for Tuesday, 20 July

Yellow weather warning for rain in 10 regions of Western Bulgaria

On Tuesday cumulus rain clouds will develop in Northern and Western Bulgaria from morning with brief showers with thunder and a temporary increase of wind. There may be considerable local rainfall and hail. In the southeastern part of the country the weather will continue sunny and hot. Maximum temperatures from 26° C in the Northwesternmost regions to 34° C in the Southeast, for Sofia maximum temperature 28° C.

Along the Black Sea coastline the weather will be predominantly sunny. Over the Northern portion of the coastline there will be cumulus rain clouds in the afternoon with occasional brief showers. Maximum temperatures 28°C. in the North, 31° C. in the South. Seawater temperature 26° C., sea state 2.

Over the mountains the weather will be sunny. During the day cumulus rain clouds will develop in the mountains in the Southwestern part of the country and the Balkan Range and there will be brief, temporarily intensive rainfall and thunder. Maximum temperature at 1,200 m. above sea level 22° C., at 2,000 m. - 14° C. In the resorts of Borovets and Pamporovo - 20° C, in Smolyan and Bansko up to 28° C.

On Wednesday the northwesterly wind will bring rain clouds over Eastern Bulgaria where there will be brief showers. Over Western and Central Bulgaria the clouds will scatter and the weather will be predominantly sunny.
