The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Bulgaria has submitted to the National Assembly information, files and pre-trial proceedings related to police violence during the protests in the period July 1 - September 30, 2020.

The documents were provided after lawmakers asked the chief prosecutor for information on the activities of the prosecution and investigative bodies in relation to cases of violence against protesters.

However, the prosecutor's office reiterated that "the National Assembly cannot request a report from the chief prosecutor on the activities of the prosecution in specific criminal proceedings."
