The National Association of General Practitioners in Bulgaria rejected the proposal by the Ministry of Health for GPs to pay house calls to Covid-19 patients, Dr. Karolina Zlateva, member of the Association board confirmed in Varna.
“We do not have specialized transport which we can use with these costumes on. And then – how can we disinfect after a visit to a given patient and then go back to the surgery to examine patients that have nothing to do with Covid-19,” Dr. Zlateva said for BNR-Varna.
The talks between the Association and the Health Ministry continue today.
