Association of GPs opposed to house calls to Covid patients

The National Association of General Practitioners in Bulgaria rejected the proposal by the Ministry of Health for GPs to pay house calls to Covid-19 patients, Dr. Karolina Zlateva, member of the Association board confirmed in Varna.

“We do not have specialized transport which we can use with these costumes on. And then – how can we disinfect after a visit to a given patient and then go back to the surgery to examine patients that have nothing to do with Covid-19,” Dr. Zlateva said for BNR-Varna.

The talks between the Association and the Health Ministry continue today.
