18.2% of Bulgaria’s adult population is double-jabbed against coronavirus

The spread of Covid-19 in the country marks the start of a rising fourth pandemic wave. All regions of the country are affected by the novel coronavirus; in 50% of the regions the infection rate is over 100 per 100,000 residents. Covid-19 has been diagnosed in people of all age groups.

These are some of the motives for the extension of the extraordinary epidemic situation until 30 November by a government decision taken today. As of 14 August, 20.1% of the adult population in Bulgaria have received at least one dose of vaccine against Covid-19, 18.2% are double-vaccinated, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.
