Placido Domingo is special guest at international culture and business forum held in Sofia

The world-famous opera singer Placido Domingo is a special guest at the first international forum "Culture and business - together in the digital world", which takes place on August 30 in Sofia. The forum presents the new opportunities for digitalization of the cultural heritage of Bulgaria. The event is held under the auspices of the "Wonders of Bulgaria" campaign and the largest non-governmental organization for the preservation of cultural heritage "Europa Nostra", whose honorary chairman is Maestro Placido Domingo. 

Among the official guests of the event are the Vice President of Bulgaria Iliana Iotova, the European Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, the Secretary General of Europa Nostra Sneška Quaedvlieg-Mihailović , His Highness Tsar Simeon II and the Spanish ambassador HE Alejandro Polanco Mata.
Placido Domingo is in Bulgaria for the big concert on August 31, in front of the Saint Alexander Nevsky  Cathedral in the capital Sofia where he will sing with the Bulgarian prima Sonya Yoncheva. The two will perform arias and duets from famous operas, accompanied by the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra with conductor Nayden Todorov. The event will be broadcast live worldwide.
