On September 16, the 46th National Assembly stops functioning. The presidential decree on the dissolution of parliament has already been received in the office of the National Assembly. The document was issued on September 14 and parliament is dissolved on Thursday. The decree was read in the plenary hall by the President of the National Assembly Iva Miteva.

The 46th parliament managed to hold sittings for just 55 days, but could not form a coalition to establish a regular government. The third parliamentary elections this year will be held on November 14th, along with the first round of the presidential elections.
