The chairman of the Sofia Municipal Council, Elen Gerdzhikov, has resigned from the municipal office. Elen Gerdzhikov has not indicated reasons for leaving, according to the press centre of the Sofia Municipal Council.

Gerdzhikov has headed the city parliament in Sofia since 2012. He also resigned as a municipal councilor from the GERB list, BNT reported.
