Bulgarian president wants sanctions for electricity price speculation

The rules of the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange will be reviewed. I expect the energy regulator to sanction everyone who speculates on prices. This was stated in Plovdiv by President Rumen Radev.

I once again congratulate the caretaker government for what it has done - it vigorously put a control on prices, said Radev, who opened the European Forum for Social Entrepreneurship. The head of state assured that everything possible was being done to reduce the price of electricity and options were being considered to help businesses.
The president also said that the economic plan for recovery and development after the coronavirus pandemic should be submitted to the European Commission, but there was a need for a serious debate and consensus on it.
