Former caretaker Minister and candidate for MP Kiril Petkov will present to the Constitutional Court a document that he is no longer a Canadian citizen within the specified term (until October 9), the press service of the political formation "We Continue the Change" announced.

The administrative act received by mail is dated August 20, 2021 and certifies that as of that date he was no longer a citizen of Canada. As early as April 21 this year Kiril Petkov applied for renunciation of citizenship and returned his Canadian passport to the embassy. According to him, it is the date of the declaration of will to renounce citizenship and not the moment of servicing the administrative act that shows his will.
