Percentage of new coronavirus infections remains high

621 new coronavirus cases have been registered for a day in Bulgaria. 10.8% of the 5,736 tests returned positive result, according to the coronavirus.bg portal. 83.4% of the newly infected are non-vaccinated. Most of the new cases have been registered in Sofia - 193, followed by the district of Varna with 76 and Plovdiv with 32.

There are 50,406 registered active coronavirus cases and 5,503 patients in hospital. 470 infected people are treated in intensive care. Almost 90 percent of 187 newly hospitalized patients are non-vaccinated.

In the past 24 day, 40 people with Covid passed away. 95% of them were non-vaccinated. 576 people recovered.

A total of 1,219 vaccines were administered on Sunday. 1,361,629 people have already completed the immunization process.
