The police dismantled a network for the issuance of fake Covids-19 vaccination certificates.
The investigation started on 13 October when it was ascertained that an individual from Veliko Turnovo was selling fake Covid certificates for the price of 500 Leva (around 250 euro). Four people have been detained on suspicion of involvement in the scheme. How many such fake vaccination certificates have been provided and sold is yet to be determined.
“Anyone issuing but also using a fake vaccination certificate can be held criminally liable,” medical legal expert Maria Petrova explained in an interview for BNR.
