15.8% coronavirus positivity rate in Bulgaria in past day

1,867 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 11,811 tests performed, indicate data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. 15.8% of the tests have returned positive result. 85.54% of the new cases are among unvaccinated. The highest number of new infections was reported in Sofia-557, followed by Varna-192 and Plovdiv-182. 6,035 patients are being treated in hospital, 512 of them in intensive care units. 90.08% of the new Covid-19 hospitalizations are among unvaccinated.

43 people have died and 556 have been reported cured in the past day. 90.70% of all Covid-19 deaths are among unvaccinated.

1,383,964 people have completed their vaccination cycle. 7,907 people have received a third Covid-19 vaccine.

Vidin has the highest seven-day morbidity rate- 495 new cases per 100,000 people, followed by Pernik- 468 cases per 100,000 people and Montana-443 cases per 100,000 people.

Vidin has the highest seven-day mortality rate-19.70‰, followed by Sliven-18.62‰.
