Rules for issuing green certificates amended

As of today, November 4, the planned admission and the planned surgical operations in the medical establishments across Bulgaria are temporarily suspended. This was ordered by the Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov in an order issued yesterday. 

Exceptions are allowed for transplants, diagnosis and treatment of patients with oncological and oncohaematological diseases, in-vitro procedures and births, as well as rehabilitation, long-term treatment and psychiatric care. The aim is to relieve the pressure on hospitals and, on the other hand, to allow for uncrowded hospital wards to be restructured into Covid wards, and medical teams to be reassigned to treat patients with Covid-19.

The vaccination certificates will be in effect 15 days after the first dose of the two-dose, as well as the one-dose vaccines is administered. Children’s centres and clubs are closed down, and organized groups for children's activities are banned, as are teambuilding sessions etc. Hospital visits are banned with the exception of terminal patients, as are visits to care institutions for children and the elderly. A green certificate will not be required of persons under the age of 18. 

Antibody tests after recovery are not included in the green certificate, though the measure is being discussed.
