The European Commission has announced the allocation of 15.35 million euros to help Bulgarian tourism. The measure is under temporary EU rules for state aid, which have been eased since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. The funds under the measure will be granted to companies that have reported a decline in their turnover of at least 30 percent in 2020 compared to the previous 2019. The companies will receive aid amounting to 20% of their annual turnover in 2019 or up to 1.8 million euros. The money must be provided by the end of December and be paid at the beginning of next year.
