199 daily Covid deaths, 3,853 new infections registered in Bulgaria

3,853 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 39,213 tests performed, data of coronavirus.bg show. 9.82% of the tests have returned positive result.

There are 114,171 active cases of Covid-19. 8,398 patients are being treated in hospital, as 760 of them are in intensive care units. 

199 infected people have died and 4,535 have been reported cured in the past day. 92% of the Covid-19 deaths are among the unvaccinated. The number of new Covid-19 recoveries has exceeded the number of new cases of Covid-19 for the first time since the beginning of the fourth wave.

17,375 vaccines were administered in Bulgaria on Wednesday.
