6.9% coronavirus positivity rate in Bulgaria in past day

1,610 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 23,286 tests performed, data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal show. 6.9% of the tests have returned positive result. 8,178 patients are being treated in hospital, as 745 of them are in intensive care units. 66 people have died and 897 have been reported cured in the past day.

The highest number of cases was reported in Sofia-428, followed by Varna-178, Burgas-135 and Plovdiv-124.

7,707 vaccines have been administered in Bulgaria in the past day, bringing the total number of inoculations against Covid-19 to 3,065,144. The number of people in the country who are now fully vaccinated is 1,620,045. 40,911 have had a vaccine booster dose.
