Discussions on future government's policies have started

Negotiations between the parties on the future policy of the planned coalition government in the spheres of economy and energy have started. Democratic Bulgaria proposes to lift restrictions on business after a sufficient number of immunized people. This is achievable by April 2022, if the vaccination rate reached 40,000 people a day. The coalition also wants restructuring of state-owned enterprises and measures against corruption in the energy sector.

The BSP insists on free 200 kilowatt-hours of electricity for households below and on the poverty line. They offer a reduction in VAT from 22% to 9% for electricity, gas and heating, as well as the development of new nuclear facilities.

"There is Such a People" opposes the construction of the Belene NPP and proposes building a hydrogen plant on the site.
