In 2021, 83.5% of Bulgarian households have Internet in their homes, or 4.6% more as compared to an year earlier. 75% of households have mobile Internet connection and 62.7% have fixed Internet connection, data of the National Statistical Institute show.

These are mainly people with a university degree, as well as people aged between 25 and 34. 96.1% buy goods and services from Bulgarian traders, 29.7% buy goods and services from traders from EU member states, and 16.5% - from other countries.
63.4% of the respondents use the Internet for communication via applications. 54.4% go online to read news. Only 6.7% of the respondents use the Internet to look for a job.
