The Bulgarian Sportsperson of the Year Award for 2021 goes to the gold medalist from the Tokyo Olympic Games, Ivet Goranova (karate). This is shown by the results of the 64th edition of the survey, organized by Nove Holding, in which 133 journalists from 54 print and electronic media took part.
The National Rhythmic Gymnastics Ensemble grabbed the award in the "Team of the Year" category. At the Tokyo Games, Simona Dyankova, Madeleine Radukanova, Laura Traats, Stefani Kiryakova and Erika Zafirova became Bulgaria's first Olympic champions in rhythmic gymnastics.
