Another rise reported in number of newly infected

There were 1,356 new coronavirus cases registered in this country in the past day. 76% of them were among the non-vaccinated. The newly infected are 280 more in comparison to the day before. 10.5% of the 12,855 tests performed were positive, according to the portal coronavirus.bg.

The number of registered active patients rose to 105,485 and there are 4,168 patients in hospital. 450 are in intensive care. There are 233 newly-admitted patients to hospitals. Over 85 percent of them are non-vaccinated.

The Covid death toll in Bulgaria since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 31,027. There were 44 deaths in the past day as 40 of them were among the non-vaccinated citizens. The number of recoveries in the past day reached 519.

3,703 coronavirus vaccines were administered on Sunday.
