Bulgarian business calls for development of camping tourism

At a meeting with representatives of alternative and adventure tourism, the Minister of Tourism Hristo Prodanov discussed ideas for the development of camping tourism products in Bulgaria.

Minister Hristo Prodanov stated that the ministry would pay special attention to this segment of tourism, because it is a good way to develop a year-round tourism product and help underdeveloped regions. The business presented its views on the development of camping tourism, which is very well developed in Europe. It was pointed out that especially during the pandemic, many people have been turning to this type of tourism. The industry said that they were ready to present a strategy for camping tourism, as no special attention had been paid to it and very few foreign tourists come to Bulgaria with their campers.
