Premier Kiril Petkov and a Bulgarian government delegation are paying an official visit to Skopje.

“Bulgaria was the first country in the world to recognize the independence of today’s Republic of North Macedonia’s and it is proud of this fact. We are not questioning the identity and language of an independent state in any way. This is your right and no one contests it, Premier Petkov said in an interview for Sitel TV, quoted by BTA.

We need to develop a cooperation that would not depend on who governs in Skopje and Sofia and define clear rules that would guarantee that a neighboring country with whom we want to maintain good neighborly relations cannot use hate speech, Kiril Petkov added.
