For a month, the number of positive coronavirus tests in schools has marked a nearly tenfold rise, Minister of Education Nikolay Denkov has told Nova TV. Currently, 3.6 percent of teachers are quarantined, while the percentage of students is 2.6. "The main factor for the additional days off between the first and second school term are the signals that students and teachers are tired and need a break," the minister commented. He pointed out that the Ministry of Education had the right to close schools if the epidemic situation became more complicated, and if there were grounds for that, it would do so.
