Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not received any requests for evacuation of Bulgarians from Ukraine

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not received any requests for evacuation of Bulgarian citizens from Ukraine. Nearly 40 people have registered on the ministry's internet platform and left their phone numbers and addresses, Mitko Dimitrov, Director of the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said for BGNES and called on Bulgarians to leave Ukraine.

 "The Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska has formed a crisis headquarters to monitor the situation. We will begin a planned evacuation of Bulgarian citizens, if necessary. I hope that the diplomatic efforts will de-escalate tensions", Mitko Dimitrov said.
