After receiving a signal about a naval mine spotted in the Black Sea, the Bulgarian Navy will carry out a reconnaissance and survey of the area, the press centre of the Ministry of Defence said.

Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre in Varna reported that it had received a signal from the Turkish Rescue Centre that Turkish ship TOMRIZ-A had sighted a mine around 6 AM (Bulgarian time) about 37 nautical miles east-southeast of Cape Galata.

The Bulgarian Navy has checked the area by helicopter but no mines have been found.
