Number of active Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria falls below 160,000

669 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 8,614 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. Two-thirds of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. 7.77% of the tests have returned positive result.

The number of active cases has decreased with 2,209 to 158,831. 110 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 82 of them (74.5%) were not immunized. 990 patients are being treated in hospital, as 116 of them are in intensive care wards.

6 people with established coronavirus infection have died and 2,871 have been reported cured in the past 24 hours. 1,464 vaccine doses were administered on Tuesday.
