Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani said in Sofia that there was still no acceptable solution found on existing issues between the two countries. He confirmed that negotiations were ongoing and called for historical issues to be left to the Bulgarian-North-Macedonian committee.

Asked whether Skopje was ready to include Bulgarians in its constitution before Bulgaria lifts the veto on EU membership talks, Bujar Osmani said: "North Macedonia believes we should do this and we will do it. We should understand the importance of the moment and make the right decisions." According to the Minister, a great chance to reach a solution that would speed up the process existed.
