Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Assen Vassilev and Energy Minister Alexander Nikolov will be in Brussels to discuss, with the European Commission, Bulgaria’s actions after Gazprom Export cut off gas deliveries to Bulgaria.

Minister Nikolov stated, prior to the visit, that there will be potential common purchases. “It is really important to say that the current consignments are going to be carried out by Bulgargaz,” Minister Nikolov said

The EU stated that Bulgaria and Poland, whose gas deliveries were halted, will be able to buy additional gas on the European market. “Poland and Bulgaria are receiving gas from their neighbours in the EU,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said.
