All attempts to diversify gas supplies must be supported, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said, commenting on the deliveries of U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Bulgaria, agreed during Prime Minister Kiril Petkov's recent visit to the United States.

President Radev said he had no information about the parameters of the deal but called on the government to look for the most favorable terms and conditions possible. "It's not just about price, but also about sustainable supply and the ability of Bulgarian businesses, district heating companies and consumers to forecast their costs," Radev, who is on a visit to the Czech Republic, added.

The opposition GERB party has shown doubts about the announced agreement because there were still many ambiguities, MP and former Energy Minister Delyan Dobrev said.
