“As of 1 July, Bulgaria is going to receive Azeri gas,” Prime Minister Kiril Petkov announced during question time in parliament. He added that the gas will not be delivered via Greece. “We shall be able to receive the full amounts of Azeri gas before the interconnection is completed,” PM added.
Deputy Prime Minister and Ministrer of Finance Assen Vassilev expressed the conviction that Bulgaria will be one of the exemptions from the EU embargo on Russian oil. Talking to reporters in parliament, Assen Vassilev stated he had been assured of this by the European Commission.
