Number of active cases of Covid-19 falls below 80,000

236 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 5,478 tests performed, a positivity rate of 4.3%, data of coronavirus.bg show. 64% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated.

The number of active cases of coronavirus infection decreased with 1,142 to 79,121. 35 people have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 24 of the new hospitalizations, or 68.57%, are among the unvaccinated. 439 patients are being treated in hospital, as 38 of them are in intensive care units.

6 people with established coronavirus infection have died in the past day. 5 of them were not immunized. 1,372 people have been reported cured. 728 vaccine doses were administered on Thursday. 2,059,059 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle.
