There is no danger of any dams overflowing because of the recent heavy rain, the authorities say.

After a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Kornelia Ninova and representatives of the institutions in charge of disaster response it was announced that reservoirs are under constant supervision and are not full at this time.

Meanwhile Botunya river near Vurshets has overflown, part of the Batak-Dospat road has collapsed, and a yellow colour code for heavy rain has been called in seven regions of the country. The rain created problems, most of all in Northwestern Bulgaria and in the Rhodopes. Firefighters have been draining the water, the Ministry of Economy press service has announced.
