The leaders of France, Italy and Germany are expected to travel to Kyiv together on June 16 to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The visit is a sign of support, and Ukraine will receive the status of an EU candidate country, writes the Financial Times.

Due to Ukraine's foreign policy successes, Russia is stepping up gas pressure on Europe and the shelling of Ukrainian cities, Zelensky said in his most recent address to Ukrainians, referring to the reduced gas supply to Germany via the Nord Stream-1 pipeline.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to US President Joe Biden after Washington announced new $ 1 billion in military aid to Kyiv.

In addition to the United States, more than 40 countries provide direct military assistance to Ukraine, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said after a meeting in Brussels with countries from the Ramstein format that support Ukraine's defense.
