Because of the war in Ukraine, the active monitoring of the Black Sea space continues. We categorically guarantee the freedom of maritime shipping and the safety of Bulgaria’s territorial waters in the corridors for merchant vessels,” said Navy Commander Rear Admiral Kiril Mihaylov at a keel laying ceremony for a multifunctional warship which is being constructed at Dolphin shipbuilding yard near Varna. Rear Admiral Mihaylov pointed out that the negotiations on the acquisition of two second-hand submarines and minesweepers will soon be completed, and the coastguard system will be renewed entirely.

Meanwhile, the UK will supply Ukraine with more weapons and will help it export millions of tons of grain blocked by the war in the Black Sea.
