Active Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria drop below 27,000

643 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 3,997 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, 223 down on the previous day. More than 59.7% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated, the positivity rate stands at 16%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

The number of active cases decreased with 12,398 to 26,574. Sixty eight is the number of new hospital admissions in the past day, 48 of them were not vaccinated. 425 patients are being treated in hospital, 8 more compared to the previous day, 35 of them in intensive care units.

Two Covid-related deaths have been registered in the country in the past day. 13,039 patients have been reported cured. 

2,269 doses of vaccine were administered on Wednesday.
