Over 20% of daily Covid-19 tests return positive result

The number of new Covid-19 cases registered in Bulgaria in the past day reached 1,350. According to official data, 20.1% of 6,713 tests were positive. There are a total of 1,059 hospitalized patients as 53 of them are in intensive care. 179 People were hospitalized in the past day and 13 coronavirus patients lost their lives. The number of recoveries was 2,040.

Most of the new cases are in Sofia – 265, followed by Plovdiv - 114 and Burgas - 109.

2,105 vaccines were administered on Tuesday. There are 2,067,199 people with a completed vaccination cycle in Bulgaria as 851,360 have had a booster shot and 54,856 have had a fourth dose.
