20.7% coronavirus positivity rate in Bulgaria in past day

1,750 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 8,455 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data indicate. 20.7% of the tests have returned positive result. 207 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to hospitals in the past day. 940 patients are being treated in hospital, as 207 of them are in intensive care units. 16 people with an established coronavirus infection have died and 3,178 have been reported cured.

The highest number of new Covid-19 cases were reported in Sofia-344, Plovdiv-187 and Stara Zagora-136.

1,149 vaccine doses have been administered in the past 24 hours. 2,068,022 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle. 857,962 people have had a booster shot. 58,662 have taken a second booster shot.
