Gas for electricity barter between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan

Bulgarian electricity for Azerbaijani gas - this is the agreement signed during the visit of Bulgarian Economy Minister Nikola Stoyanov to Baku on September 6. The minister announced the news to the public broadcaster BNT, noting that this will provide Bulgaria with additional supplies in the coming months, when the raw material is most needed in winter.
We have received firm assurances that Azeri gas will gas will go on stream from 1 October. "Baku has confirmed that we can fully rely on the contract we have with them for 1 bcm of gas per year," the caretaker minister said. Bulgaria can expect another 1 bcm of gas a year from Azerbaijan within four years after the expansion of the Southern Gas Corridor pipeline system, Stoyanov promised.
