The Court of Appeal in Plovdiv ordered the extradition of 23-year-old Ivan Tilev from Pazardzhik, accused by the German Prosecutor's Office of financial fraud in the amount of 800 thousand euros. Relatives and friends of the young man staged a protest in front of the courthouse.

In August Tilev wanted to renew his cross-border passport, but the police informed him that a European arrest warrant had been issued against him and handcuffed him on the spotTilev found out later that he was accused by the German Prosecutor's Office of participating in an organised criminal group for financial fraud amounting to 14 million euros.

The subject of the investigation is a company called "Team Group" with an Israeli man and a Serbian woman as managers. Tilev worked in the company's call center since 2019 and carried out financial consultations over the phone with clients investing money in securities and cryptocurrencies after he applied for a legal job advertisement in German and Bulgarian, BNR Plovdiv reported.
