The best option for the design of the future Bulgarian euro coins is to have a competition in which we can choose what symbol to put on them, caretaker Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Pekanov said, commenting on the plans for euro zone entry in 2024. According to the minister, the coins should have a Bulgarian symbol that people are proud of.

The economy is facing great uncertainty as the reasons for this are the war in Ukraine, high inflation, as well as the economic slowdown in China, which affects the development of the global economy, the deputy prime minister warned. Pekanov expects the first transfer of funds under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan to take place after the respective decision of the European Commission is made.
