In the last 5 years, the number of students in Bulgaria engaged in dual training has increased from 350 to 10 450, thanks to improved collaboration between educational institutions and businesses, as well as legislative changes allowing students in the last two years of senior high-school education to join companies on a remunerated contract basis.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Education Maria Gaidarova in Plovdiv, where a regional meeting "Business for Education" on the project for dual training on the Austrian model is being held. More than 700 employers have already expressed their willingness to join the project, reports BNR Plovdiv.
