Investigation: 16 Interior Ministry officers at fault for fatal bus crash that killed police officers

Sixteen Interior Ministry officers in charge of guarding the Bulgarian-Turkish border will face disciplinary sanctions over the case in Burgas in which a bus carrying illegal migrants hit a police car and caused the death of two policemen, caretaker Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev said. In his words, the offences committed by these officers can be defined as crimes
Among them are the director of the Regional Border Police Directorate in Burgas, as well as the heads of the Border Police Departments in Burgas and Malko Tarnovo. All of the exposed officers have already been dismissed. The report of the investigation has been handed over to the prosecutor's office.
