Dronamics, a cargo drone company founded by Bulgarians Svilen and Konstantin Rangelov, will partner with Balchik Airport in preparation for the launch of its upcoming commercial flights.

The flight program is one of the steps in the certification process for the Black Swan drone. It should get underway before the end of the year, according to information on the Balchik municipality website.

By the end of 2022, cargo flights with Bulgarian unmanned cargo planes will be launched in the Mediterranean, starting in Malta and Italy and gradually expanding their scope.

Malta is the first country to issue a license to the company to carry out this type of unmanned cargo flights. Cut off from the mainland, Malta maintains its connection to the world mainly through air transport.

In Bulgaria, the service developed by the Rangel brothers is expected to be available from 2024.
