The Cabinet has approved a list of military aid that would be provided to Ukraine, according to a query in the Council of Ministers' legal information system. The list was drawn up by the Ministry of Defense. The next step is for the parliament to vote on the list of military aid, as well as an agreement between the Bulgarian and Ukrainian defense ministries on the free provision of armaments, equipment and ammunition as a basis for negotiations.
According to the Ukrainian ambassador to Bulgaria, Vitaly Moskalenko, the list is long and serious. It includes artillery guns, means for defense, projectiles and ammunition, but no C-300 complexes because Bulgaria needs them to protect strategic locations. At least nine flights of Boeing C-17 aircraft will be needed to bring the aid to Ukraine, BNR has learned.
