Multinational Battle Group in Bulgaria to demonstrate its capabilities

Today, the Multinational Battle Group in Bulgaria will demonstrate full operational capabilities within the frameworks of Strike Back exercise on Novo Selo training area. Bulgaria’s Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov, the Commander of the Italian Joint Operations Headquarters Lieutenant General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo and the Commander of the Multinational Division South-East Brigadier General Dorin Toma will attend the military exercise. Troops from Italy, Bulgaria, Albania, Greece, North Macedonia and the United States will participate at the exercise. 

On October 17, Italy took command of NATO’s multinational battle group in Bulgaria. The Multinational Battle Group in Bulgaria was formed on March 1, 2022.
