The Bulgarian writer and journalist Iliyan Kuzmanov topped the British ranking of Talk Radio for the most preferred book in the UK, writes BTA. Almost 10,000 people voted for the Bulgarian author's novel "The Devil, I Know Him", leaving behind names such as Stephen King, John Grisham and US Vice President Mike Pence.

This is the second book by Kuzmanov, who was born in Bulgaria's town of Pazardzhik. He previously managed to enter the Amazon Top 20 with his novel "If You Meet Buddha, Kill Him!"

"The Devil, I Know Him" is a provocative novel in the tradition of Goethe, Dante and Bulgakov. Through magical realism, the novel recreates the darkest sides of totalitarianism and the price of freedom, the author says, describing his book.
