Charity Christmas campaigns take place across Bulgaria

One day before Christmas, people in need received generous food parcels from the Christmas carolers who organized the charity campaign "Be Human". Dozens of donors took part in the campaign and made more than 50 lonely people and poor families in Bansko happy. One of the benefactors bought air conditioners for an elderly couple and expressed readiness to pay their electricity bills this winter.

Students organized a three-day charity bazaar with handmade souvenirs in the town of Pleven, Central North Bulgaria. People accommodated in social centers made the souvenirs. The money raised by the charity bazaar will support social institutions.

Christmas carolers from the village of Elenovo, Nova Zarora Municipality, decided to donate the money collected from the Christmas caroling to the "Bulgarian Christmas" charity campaign or another good cause.

More than 500 disadvantaged children and children with disabilities received Christmas gifts thanks to the municipal campaign "A gift from the heart" in Burgas. More than 100 donors took part in the eleventh edition of the campaign.

In Dobrich, Northeastern Bulgaria, 120 elderly people, families suffering from extreme poverty and people with disabilities received donations, thanks to the initiative of the Folk Dance Club "Reapers" and Mercy Heart Foundation. Three local schools and hundreds of volunteers collected more than 1 ton of food and distributed the food packages to the needy. The "Shared Bread" campaign is being organized for the fourth consecutive year. The amount of food collected and the number of participants has been constantly increasing.
